Anterior implants are obviously an aesthetic zone so we try to remove those teeth as a traumatically as possible. These implants are typically pre-planned so patients don’t want to go walk around without a tooth in the anterior or aesthetic zone. So what we would typically do is we we would remove that tooth a traumatically and then prior to removal of the tooth we would already have had a three dimensional x-ray taken. We would have surgical guide uh fabricated…we would place that implant in using the surgical guide. After that then we would temporize until the healing phase is over and then the general dentist would then place the permanent crown.
