Dental implants are very versatile so they can be restored in a number of
different ways. We can use a dental implant to replace a
single missing tooth. We can use multiple dental implants to
build an implant supported porcelain bridge or
we can use a series of dental implants to replace an entire arch of missing teeth.
Another great advantage with dental implants is that we can use
them to support dentures. So, patients that were wearing
conventional dentures can transition easily to an implant
supported denture, typically with as little as 2 to 4 implants. Once those implants are stabilized, we can
place locator abutments that allow us to just snap
the dentures in. It’s a real game-changer for patients that are used to conventional dentures. And patients that have problems with the fit, that may find that their
dentures move around, that need to use adhesives to keep the dentures in. In our practice the predominant use for dental implants is to support dentures. If you’re interested, we’d be happy to see you for a free consultation where we can evaluate
