RIGHT OFF STOP AT 6:00, A CBS SAFETY ALERT AFTER TWO PEOPLE WERE BUSTED AFTER POLICE SAY THEY WERE PRACTICING DENTISTRY OUT OF A BUSINESS AND POLICE SAY THEY WERE NOT LICENSED TO BE DENTISTS. THEY’VE HAD THE BUS PARKED OUTSIDE A BUSINESS IN NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE. CBS 4’S PETER R DENCH IS LIVE WITH THE STORY. Reporter: AUTHORITIES SAY TONIGHT, BOTH SUSPECTS HAVE NEVER BEEN LICENSED IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA. THEY SAY THEY USED A RED BUS TO TREAT PEOPLE. IT KEPT IT PARKED HERE AT A BUSINESS IN NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE. THIS IS ALSO WHERE POLICE CONDUCTED A STING OPERATION THAT LED TO THEIR ARREST. THIS POSES A SAFETY CONCERN FOR THE COMMUNITY. WE HAVE INDIVIDUALS THAT ARE PERFORMING UNLICENSED MEDICAL PRACTICES. DETECTIVE CHRIS THOMAS WAS ALARMED AFTER AFTER THESE TWO PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED FOR PERFORMING ILLEGAL DENTAL WORK IN THIS RED BUS. SHE’S INDIVIDUALS AREN’T LICENSED BY THE STATE. IT’S UNREGULATED. WE DON’T KNOW IF THE EQUIPMENT IS STERILIZED. WE DON’T KNOW WHERE THEY’VE LEARNED TO DO THESE PRACTICES. Reporter: JOSEPH HUNTON IS STUNNED. HE SAID THE SUSPECTS KEPT THE VEHICLE AT HIS BUSINESS, STORAGE AND PROPANE AT NORTHWEST 74th AND 60th STREET. IT WAS A SURPRISE. I HAD NO IDEA THAT WAS GOING ON. WHAT I WOULD SAY IS I H NO IDEA THERE WAS EVEN DRUGS BEING SOLD. HE WOULD COME HERE AND HE WOULD TAKE HIS BUS, LEAVE, AND THEN COME BACK WITH A BUS. MY UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT HE WAS DOING WAS HE WAS TAKING THAT BUS TO, LIKE — TO LIKE FUNCTIONS EITHER TO SCHOOLS, OR TO LIKE WHERE THEY WOULD HAVE A BUNCH OF KIDS, KIND OF LIKE WHERE THEY DO THE BLOOD DRIVES AND STUFF LIKE THAT. Reporter: VICTOR WAS CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF DRUGS WITH INTENT TO SELL THEM. HE AND DANIELLA GONZALEZ WERE ALSO CHARGED WITH PRACTICING WITHOUT A LICENSE AS HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS. POLICE SAY UNDERCOVER OFFICERS POSED AS PATIENTS INSIDE THE BUS AND WERE DIAGNOSED AND OFFERED TREATMENT. THE TWO WERE RELEASED ON BONDS OF $10,000 AND A THOUSAND DOLLARS. POLICE SAY — $5,000.
