RYAN: I HAVE SOME PIÑA COLADA MIX ON MY DESK. STONE ACADEMY, WHAT IS HAPPENING? LAURA: A DOG HOLDS A JOB AT A DENTIST OFFICE AND TRAVELS TO SCHOOLS AROUND THE STATE. RYAN: DR. REILLY BRINGS BENEFITS TO HELP CHILDREN GET OVER THEIR FEAR OF GOING TO THE DENTIST. HE TEACHES KIDS ABOUT DENTAL HYGIENE. HE HAD A WAY WITH PATIENCE AND THE PATIENTS REALLY ENJOYED HIM. HE BEHAVED. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SOMEONE BRUSH THE TEETH OF A DOG. LAURA: MY DOG WOULD NEVER LET ME DO THAT. THAT IS ONE GREAT, WELL TRAINED DOG. THE PROGRAM STARTED ABOUT EIGHT MONTHS AGO. YOU WOULDN’T BE SCARED OF A DENTIST WHEN THERE IS A SMILEY DOG. RYAN: I BRUSH MY TEETH EVERY NIGHT. NOT MINE, BUT THE DOG’S. INSPIRED BY A REAL POLICEMAN, THERE WAS A SIX-YEAR-OLD KANSAS BOY WHO BROUGHT A LOT OF HAPPINESS TO A NURSING HOME HERE. LAURA: THAT IS BECAUSE OFFICER DAVIS STOPPED BY THE NURSING HOME IN HIS UNIFORM. HE HANDED OUT ROSES, ALONG WITH TICKETS, CITING RESIDENTS FOR BEING TOO CUTE. RYAN: HOW ABOUT THAT? HE WANTS TO BE A POLICEMAN WHEN HE GROWS UP AND SAYS HE LIKES MAKING PEOPLE SMILE. A LITTLE POLICE OFFICER IN HIS OWN RIGHT. CHECK IT OUT ON OUR WEBSITE. LAURA: HE WILL BE A GREAT COP ONE DAY. HE LOVES THE COMMUNITY AND HE IS SO SWEET. RYAN: WE ALL KNOW THAT — LAURA: THIS LITTLE PHRASE CAN SAVE YOU MONEY WHEN YOU BUY FURNITURE BUT CAN COST YOU STRESS. RYAN: YOU ENJOY THIS. LAURA: ASSEMBLY REQUIRED. RYAN: THERE ARE NOW ROBOTS THAT ARE GOING TO DO IT. LAURA: THEY ARE TAKING OVER THIS JOB. ROBOTS IN SINGAPORE HAVE MASTERED HOW TO ASSEMBLE AN IKEA CHAIR. WE ALL KNOW THE IDEA FOR ASSEMBLING PRODUCTS IS NOT ALWAYS ENJOYABLE. WHAT IS MORE COMPLICATED, ASSEMBLY OR MARRIAGE COUNSELING? I LOVE TO ASSEMBLE THINGS. I DON’T NEED THE ROBOT. RYAN: THAT IS WILD. LAURA: ROBOTS DO EVERYTHING NOWADAYS, SO THAT IS PRETTY TALENTED.
