Meet Your Dentist: Dr. Bergeron | Evergreen Dental Group

Dr. Stefan Bergeron: I grew up in Deerfield,
Illinois. It’s a wonderful place to live. It’s a suburb just north of Chicago. I’m very fortunate to have grown up with my
younger brother, wonderfully, amazingly talented, loving, fun parents. My dad is in sales for electronics, and my
mother is a social worker, so they both deal with people very much so, and they both like
to give back to people, so I think that that’s had a direct influence on my chosen profession
wholly because I like to engage with people and I like to help them. After dental school, I completed a one-year
general practice residency. It’s a hospital-based training program. I did that training in Chicago, Advocate Illinois
Masonic Medical Center, and it was an unbelievable experience because it exposed me to various
fields, various areas of dentistry, related to trauma, medically compromised patients,
emergency dentistry, sedation dentistry, advanced procedures that I would, otherwise, not be
exposed to. It was a tremendous experience. My wife and I have always wanted to find an
excuse, find a way, to live in Colorado. Most of my wife’s family lives in Colorado. She grew up in Oklahoma. We’ve finally been able to relocate and given
the opportunity at this practice. I’ve really cemented the deal, and I couldn’t
have been more fortunate to have found a more ideal practice to be a part of. Every single member of this team is exceptional,
and I say that from the bottom of my heart. I know everyone is an unbelievable asset,
and I just feel privileged to be able to work with this whole group in such a great community,
such as Evergreen. It is literally a dream come true for me and
for my wife. I could not have picked a better situation
to be a part of. In my spare time, I very much enjoy being
outside. One of the reasons my wife and I relocated
to Colorado was to be able to utilize outdoor life in our daily life more easily. I love to ride. I love to bike. I love to fish. I love to hike. All of that stuff is, I feel like I’m in a
paradise for that here. Fun fact that most people don’t know about
me is that in undergrad, I was actually studying to become a pilot, as well as studying my
molecular and cellular biology pre-dentistry curriculum, so I was doing aviation, as well
as biology.
