At Kona Kids Dentistry, our patients’ health
and happiness are always our highest priority. Our office was specifically designed with
children and teens in mind. We look forward to hearing each child’s unique
history and pride ourselves in making their visit the best it can be. We want your children
to be healthy and excited to come to the dentist. This is a valuable habit they can carry with
them throughout their life. Our goal is to create a fun and relaxing environment
for both kids and parents. From the beautiful fish tank, the iPads and arcade games all
can have a wonderfully positive effect on a child’s view of routine dental care even
through adulthood. We certainly thought of parents, too. As parents,
we also understand how difficult it can be to balance a busy schedule. That is why at
Kona Kids we’ve added extra charging outlets and created a space for parents to use WiFi
while they are waiting. We’ve also designed our office so that we can care for multiple
siblings at once, making your schedule easier. We also take great pride in our ability to
stay on time. With a combined 20 years of practice experience,
we know that every family is unique and no one really falls under “one size fits all.”
Because of this, our practice philosophy is centered on clear communication with both
kids and their parents. It is not uncommon for children to feel anxious
about visiting the dentist. We know these feelings can be influenced by a number of
factors, which is why we work hard to make every visit a positive one. This is also part
of the reason we offer many different options for the care of your child.
Here at Kona Kids Dentistry, Kids is our middle name. We go out of our way to make sure our
patients have the best dental experience possible. We’ve installed TV screens above the dental
chairs to allow kids to watch their favorite cartoons or movies during appointments, we
offer stickers and prizes at the end of each visit, and we keep the dental instruments
behind the scenes. Did you know that the American Academy of
Pediatric Dentistry recommends that your child visit the dentist before their second birthday?
This early visit can help prevent the risk of dental problems later on, and also helps
to foster a positive dental experience for life. We even offer a free initial examination
for children under 4. At Kona Kids, we are happy to assist parents
in understanding what insurance benefits may be available for their child.
We also believe insurance concerns should never keep a child from receiving the dental
care they deserve. We offer multiple payment options. Give us a call and one of our insurance
experts would be happy to answer any questions you might have.
