Venu Chimmiri: They’re nothing but a protection
to your teeth. A lot of times when patients have a lot of
fillings in their teeth, and used to be silver fillings, and they get beat up. Once they get patched up couple more times,
you’re at a point of no return, where I have only two options would be do nothing and risk
losing the tooth. Or, protect the tooth, through a crown or
a cap. Basically, we remove the old fillings. We remove the decay underneath them. We fix them with fillings. On the top, we provide a porcelain material,
which will look like a tooth. Only you and I know that’s a crown. A person talking to you, they can’t tell if
you have a crown or your own tooth.
