Hi. I’m Dr. Brad Olson. I want to talk to you a little bit about dental implants. Dental implants are state-of-the-art for
replacing missing teeth, whether you’re missing a single tooth, multiple teeth or all your teeth. Dental implants have been proven now to be a consistent and a predictable way to replace missing teeth. So one of the questions I get asked often and maybe have folks who don’t ask the question but are thinking about it is: Do dental implants hurt? Are they painful? Because if you stop and think
about it is you’re having an implant placed into your jaw bone, and the thought of that is not too pleasant. We all understand that. But what has been proven over and over again is that in the hands of a qualified surgeon, with careful planning, dental implants are a comfortable – both during the procedure
and post-operatively – way of replacing missing teeth. Now again, everybody’s different, so to put everybody into one category, and you may have heard a story about somebody, about a bad experience. And again, it’s always possible. It is surgery, after all. But consistently we hear from both our
patients, staff members who’ve had it, family members have had it, that having a dental implant placed in today’s world is a comfortable procedure with an excellent outcome.
